Grab some chalk and make your mark at the Bloomington Street Arts Festival! Our Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest is open to all ages and skill levels—just bring your imagination.

How it works:
Check in at the Chalk Art Tent to get your chalk and assigned square. You’ll have from 9am-12 noon to create your design. Judges will announce winners later in the day—with fun prizes and bragging rights!

Community Fiber Weaving Installation
Weave a little, connect a lot. Add your thread to this growing tapestry that celebrates togetherness, mindfulness, and the beauty of slowing down. All materials are provided, and anyone can contribute. No weaving experience needed—just your hands and your heart.
Pendulum Painting in Motion
Get into the rhythm of creativity with this mesmerizing blend of art and physics. Use a swinging pendulum to paint one-of-a-kind designs and watch how motion creates unexpected beauty. It’s playful, peaceful, and oh-so-satisfying.
Sports-Inspired Splatter Art
Shoot, splash, and score some color! This station combines the thrill of movement with the freedom of messy, expressive art. Using sports equipment as your brush (think balls, rackets, and more), create bold, energetic splatter paintings that are as active as they are artistic.
Personalize Your Athletic Gear
Bring your own sneakers, water bottles, baseball caps—or anything else that moves with you—and give them a creative twist. We’ll provide the paint, patches, and personalization supplies to help you turn everyday gear into a statement of your style and spirit.
